A Week in Bologna: Exploring Italy’s Motor Valley — With a Stop at Imola

I planned this trip around the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Imola, but looking back, the race ended up being just one part of a much bigger experience. Spending a week in Bologna gave me the chance to explore Italy’s Motor Valley at my own pace—from visiting Ferrari, Lamborghini, Pagani, and Ducati, to driving through Emilia-Romagna and soaking in just how deeply automotive culture is woven into the region. Even if Imola never returns to the F1 calendar, this is still a trip I’d recommend to any car enthusiast in a heartbeat.
