Havana

When we planned our trip to Cuba, we chose Havana (La Habana in Spanish) over a beach destination for the culture—and it didn’t disappoint. Between classic cars cruising the streets, a stop at La Bodeguita del Medio, and the everyday rhythm of life unfolding around us, the city felt alive at every turn. We spent our time wandering and watching, camera in hand, capturing moments as they happened. These images offer a glimpse into what made Havana feel so unforgettable.

La bodeguita del Medio

Of course we had to stop at La Bodeguita del Medio. Mojitos flowing, walls full of signatures, and a buzzing vibe—this place is pure Havana. I just wandered around, snapping shots of the colors and the energy while soaking it all in.

Gran Teatro de La Habana

The Gran Teatro de La Habana is Havana’s iconic performing arts venue, known for its ornate facade, grand interiors, and as the home of the National Ballet of Cuba.

The Cars from Havana

One of the first things you notice in Havana is the classic cars — bright ’50s Chevys, Fords, and Buicks rolling down the streets like a living museum. The taxi drivers told me that many of the old V8 engines are being swapped out for more efficient Toyota V6s, so under those vintage hoods you’ll find a surprising mix of modern ingenuity keeping these beauties running.

Iconic Buildings

Havana was full of moments that made me stop and stare. I found myself lingering at the José Martí Memorial, exploring the Museo de la Revolución, and snapping photos of the José Martí statue. And of course, seeing the Che Guevara mural on the Ministry of the Interior building in person was unforgettable — it really brings the city’s history to life.

Old Havana (La Vieja Habana)

Beyond the iconic buildings, every street in Old Havana feels like a photo waiting to happen — colorful facades, cobblestone lanes, and little details around every corner make it impossible not to stop and snap a picture.
